Who we are
Annie’s Place is named after Annie Pearl Franklin and her matrilineal commitment to chosen family and treating the other with radical hospitality. In her honor, we imagine a world where rest is sacred, culture is shared, and land is stewarded with care.
We’re restoring historic homes in key geographies — from the Black Belt South to rural Appalachia — and transforming them into regenerative spaces that offer:
Farm-to-table experiences rooted in ancestral food traditions
Cultural workshops led by local artists, cooks, and land stewards
Safe and immersive retreats for movement leaders, healers, and everyday people
Land-based learning rooted in abolition, decolonization, and repair
Each home is a portal to memory, resistance, and a future worth living into.
